Biography:

Marco completed a Bachelor’s degree in pure mathematics (algebra) in 2014 and a Master’s degree in applied mathematics in 2016 at the University of Trento, Italy. His master’s thesis focused on modeling West Nile virus. He completed his PhD at York University in 2022 under the supervision of Prof. Jianhong Wu, with research primarily focused on tick-borne diseases.
He is currently a postdoctoral visitor at LIAM, where he works on mathematical modeling of vector-borne diseases, including yellow fever and Lyme disease.
