Dr. Congjie Shi obtained her BS in mathematics from Harvey Mudd College in 2015 and her MF and MEM from Duke University in 2018. She completed her PhD in Applied Mathematics at York University in 2025, under the supervision of Professor Seyed Moghadas. Her PhD research was in mathematical modeling and computational epidemiology. Her research is primarily focused on integrating information dynamics, behavioural responses, and epidemic spread to devise infectious disease control strategies. She also worked in the area of differential equations for simulating biological processes. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at LIAM supervised by Professor Jianhong Wu, working on network epidemics and disease modelling.
