IRC Program

 Industrial Research Chair (IRC) Program

NSERC Sanofi-York IRC in Vaccine Mathematics, Modelling and Manufacturing will develop mathematical techniques to identify populations most susceptible to infectious diseases and enable manufacturers to produce cost-effective vaccines that can be deployed quickly. The research is also expected to better position Canada to respond rapidly to emerging public health issues such as Zika outbreaks. The IRC program goals are

A dedicated resource and critical mass;
An innovative set of modelling and analytics tools for informed vaccine production and immunization policy decision making;
A new generation of mathematical modelers capable of academic-industrial collaboration;
A Canadian brand: Sanofi-York School in vaccine mathematics.
